The official kick-off meeting of the Erasmus+ project I CO-COPE took place from 12 to 14 September 2023. The project partners from Portugal, Austria, Slovakia and Belgium gathered in the Belgian city of Leuven to get to know each other and take essential steps in the organisational process.
The acronym I CO-COPE stands for "Inclusion through Interprofessional Collaboration in a Community of Practice in Education". Over the next three years, this project will look at how interdisciplinary collaboration with Community of Practice methods can promote inclusion in lower secondary schools. Partners from four countries collaborate in this project: Portugal (Politecnico Do Porto), Austria (University College of Teacher Education Styria and Chance B), Belgium (UC Leuven-Limburg and Arteveldehogeschool) and Slovakia (Univerzita Komenskeho v Bratislave).
For the kick-off event the project leaders warmly welcomed all project partners in the Belgian city of Leuven. In addition to getting to know each other, the programme included planning the individual work packages and agreeing on roles and responsibilities so that all project partners are motivated for the first phase of the project.
